Metro connectivity will be soon available to the residents of old Gurugram. The Haryana Government approved final Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Metro Rail Connection from HUDA City Centre to other parts in the Gurugram city. The initial project cost will be approx. INR 6800 Cr.
The new link will originate from HUDA City Centre and transit through Sector 45, Cyber Park, District Shopping Centre, Sector 47, Subhash Chowk, Sector 48, Sector 72 A, Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar Phase 6, Sector 10, Sector 37, Basai Village, Sector 9, 7, 4 and 5 , Ashok Vihar, Sector 3, Bajghera Road, Palam Vihar Extension, Palam Vihar, Sector 23 A and 22, Udyog Vihar Phase 4 and 5 to merge in existing Metro network at Moulsar Avenue station ( Near Cyber City).
The total length of the corridor will be about 30 km, consisting 27 elevated stations with six interchange stations and expected to provide 9 mn passenger trips on daily basis by 2040.
The project will benefit the residents of city and will reduce pollution, private vehicle movement and bring operational efficiency to business.
