Last year Haryana Government allowed 4th floor addition but this year, the Chief Minister kept the policy in abeyance.
An order issued by the town and country planning department states that all new stilt plus four-floor building plan approval of residential plots would be in abeyance. This includes any pending applications pending or received for approval.
No new stilt plus four floor building plan will be sanctioned till further orders. However all earlier sanctioned plans will remain valid.
Earlier several RWAs, strongly opposed construction of stilt plus four floors, saying it has been putting additional burden on already crippled infrastructure of the city.
Subsequently in March, the government constituted an expert to look into earlier policy of allowing 4th floor with stilt.
